Who is Mr. Sounds? And Why is He So Noisy?
Mr. Sounds is actually Mark Weakland, a musician, author and teacher who has been banging and clanging on things since he was a little boy. Now, as a fun-loving adult, he is happy to sing, dance and make a joyful noise with both adults and children during his interactive children's music show.
Audiences
love to help Mr. Sounds sing a song, dance to The Bed Bug Bounce,
recreate a rainstorm, snort like a deer, howl like a coyote, play African
percussion instruments and use old pieces of junk to make the most amazing
and unusual sounds!
Mr. Sounds has appeared at The Winchester-Thurston Auditorium, The McKeever Environmental
Center and the Mt. Lebanon First-Night Millennium Celebration
and will be giving a concert at The Pittsburgh Center for Creative Play
in April of 2003.
